L’Hotellier S.A. is part of the Kidde Aerospace and Defense group of companies specializing in innovative solutions within the area of fire protection and overheat detection products.

Kidde Aerospace and Defense (KAD), is the business unit within Hamilton Sundstrand, a UTC company, that is responsible for fire protection and safety systems for commercial and military aviation and for commercial and military ground vehicle applications.


The KAD group comprises of eight companies:

  • L’Hotellier, located in Antony, France
  • Fenwal Safety Systems, located in Wilson, NC, USA
  • Kidde Aerospace, located in Wilson, North Carolina, USA
  • Kidde Graviner, located in Colnbrook, England
  • Kidde-Deugra, located in Ratingen, Germany
  • Kidde Aerospace & Defense-Australia, located in Melbourne.
  • Kidde Dual Spectrum, located in Goleta, California, USA
  • WFEL, located in Manchester, England

L’Hotellier, Fenwal, Kidde Aerospace, and Kidde Graviner produce products for the commercial aviation sector. The remaining companies are either service companies for KAD or serve different markets sectors.

AeroShop Group is the exclusive stocking distributor of commercial aviation products for the Kidde Aerospace & Defense group in the Asian territory. For the L’Hotellier product line, in particular, AeroShop Group has non-exclusive rights to distribute its products globally.


Fire and overheat detection products

L’Hotellier offers a wide range of products and services within the area of aeronautical fire detection and extinguishing. These products include fire and overheat spot detectors, linear fire and overheat detectors, fire detection units (called. FDUs), smoke detectors and fire extinguishers, previously manufactured by Kidde Dexaero.
