Over fifty years ago, PACIFIC AIR INDUSTRIES was one of many companies gaining a foothold in the emerging aircraft parts redistribution industry. The commercial airline business was booming and the venerable DC3 (on which PAI is founded) was the workhorse of the industry. As demand grew, Douglas Aircraft Company built new planes such as the DC4, DC6 and DC7 that provided PAI the opportunity to gradually enhance its inventory to support this expanding fleet. Then, in 1965, we accepted a consignment from Douglas Aircraft of its excess DC-3, DC-4, DC-6, DC-7 and DC-8 inventory, giving us the most diversified DACO aircraft support capabilities in the industry.
