Turbine Case Cooling Air Valve Turbine Case Cooling Air Valve Control Cable and Control Assembly Valve Interface Control Cable modulate the position of the turbine case cooling air valve in response to mechanical inputs from linear hydraulic actuator controlled by the Electronic Engine Control (EEC). The control circuit has a built-in penumatic logic system that provides for full adjustment of the cleaning solution and rinse fluid pulsation rates needed during the fuel nozzle cleaning. Trolley-mounted, the wash system is operated by standard shop compressed air supply or other suitable regulated pressurized air source. The primary function is to maintain optimal distance between the inner skin of the turbine case and the turbine blades for engine efficiency. As conditions within the engine continue to change throughout flight, these cables modulate the TCC vent to control the amount of engine bypass air flow onto the turbine case.
